Emily Kuhlmann is a bi-coastal Local 800 Assistant Art Director working in film and television. Born in South Korea to a military family, she grew up constantly on the move — including three formative years in Naples, Italy. It was during her time in Italy that she discovered her love of design and world-building, an early passion that would later shape her creative career.

Emily went on to earn her BFA in Production Design and VFX from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she honed her eye for visual storytelling and immersive environments. Today, she brings a global perspective and thoughtful attention to detail on every project she supports, helping transform cinematic visions into fully realized worlds, from concept to screen.
